IS

The new Lexus IS is going through a marketing frenzy right now. Of course, right before the launch of a new hip automobile, the American counterparts of the Japanese brand Toyota goes and spends all their cash on a particular scheme to get ahead of their German counterparts. In this case, you get a chance to be part of it. Just by uploading a few photos, you get to be part of their "IS Photomosaic." It's kind of neat to tell you the truth. They are going to display the mosaic on the Reuters digital billboard in New York City. Of course, after you select yes to all legal agreements, you upload up to five different photos and you get entered in to win a new IS 250. Your photo will also have a chance of being selected to appear 30 ft. tall live in Times Square. There is a panel that is approving all the uploaded pictures so select kosher ones for the public.

too much

So the Treo 700w was introduced today which basically was a truce between Mircosoft and Palm. Palm does etch their name into the device pretty large on the front, but they deserve it. I hope that it'll come out for Sprint sometime later.

Google Video is up and running at http://video.google.com. So far so good. They finally decided to have an integrate the player in your browser. Watch the first season of "Everybody Hates Chris" until the 29th of Sept. I'm doing so right now.

So when I was hanging out at Daytona Ale House for the Cowboys football game, I went outside to take a breather and who would have thought of it...I stumbled unto a car that I was unfamiliar with. I took a gander and walked around and finally took enough notice to see that it was none other than the new Honda Civic for 2006. It was a beauty. I have to admit that it looks like an awesome car. The horsepower is up to 140 from the 120 in the previous model and the shape is awesome. Check it out at HONDA.

Here's a picture too:

Crash DVD

WOW!!! Just to sum it up in one word...wow is the only word that I can explain what I felt throughout the entire movie. I bought the DVD when it first came out and finally had the chance to watch it this afternoon. After watching the entire first season of Lost and the season premiere, I got a chance to relax, after grocery shopping with Laura, and watch the film. It was just breath taking. You have to go and buy it for yourself. I have never seen a movie with so much emotion. It's not even a roller coaster, but its just full of everything. I don't have any idea on how to explain it either. 5/5 10/10 whatever.

This just in...Treo 700w

This is kind of a little weird with Palm releasing a handheld with a software package that is known as the Palm OS killer. Too bad or maybe it's good for me that it is only being released on Verizon's network. Or is it? Can you believe this though? It's like me driving a German car made in America. Maybe it isn't. Is this the end of the Palm OS? Microsoft, Palm and Verizon are having a JOINT press conference in CA this monday. That is just crazy!

Nintendo DS "Best Friends" Edition

I have to admit that this game is addicting. The Nintendo DS is far more addicting than the Sony PSP. I just can't wait until Madden 2006 arrives in a few hours.

I had the chance of playing this game when I was in San Diego with Adelle. It is an addicting game. Taking care of a virtual pet, earning cash prizes, training it to your voice, all in all, Nintendo has done it right. They made a promise of changing the gaming experience and they did it. This bundle pack comes in either Pearl Pink or Teal, a version of the Nintendogs game and other goodies such as a bone-shaped screen cleaner, and a Nintendogs DS skin. This is definitely going to be the back to school special for children of all ages. Maybe it'll even bring Nintendo to a competitive head start for the upcoming Thanksgiving / Christmas holiday season. Better yet, you can play with other dogs who come your way. The game can catch you off guard with your friends as they'll only be seeing you talking to a machine. Of course, you know that deep inside, its your new pet.

Vantec Nexstar 3

I recently purchased this product on the conclusion from a friend's review of the previous model, the Nexstar 2. I had a little doubt about the machine, but after putting it together with a Seagate 250 GB 3.5" Hard Drive, I powered up the drive and...it works magnificently. I formatted the drive for an ext. NTFS system (Windows XP) and tried it on my Ti Powerbook loaded w/ Mac OSX Tiger read it fine, but it doesn't want to write to it. Now what should I do?

Back to the review. The drive combo works flawlessly. It's fast but not as fast as I thought it would be. I transferred about 60GB from my HP dv1000 straight to the drive and formatted my laptop. It took a while more like 10-15 mins, but I guess that is fast. Plugged it in again afterwards to restore the data, but just thought to myself that I should try running programs off of it and / or my MP3s. Good stuff. I would definitely recommend this combination to anyone and everyone who wants just straight backup and extended capacity. Now, I can be at peace in getting a 4GB nano iPod.

I took it out of the box and I have to admit I was surprised. The form factor is tiny! It's just large enough to hold the drive. The black finish is awesome, but I have to wipe it down because it easily shows fingerprints. Just like the Sony PSP. The blue LED in front is bright as hell. Maybe a little too bright at night, but it definitely finished off the piece of hardware.

If you are looking for anything in the realm of storage, not only is this an affordable way to increase your data capacity, but it is also a sleek and handsome addition to anyone's desk. You can even store it in your jacket pocket and bring it everywhere and anywhere you want to go. No drivers needed for today's operating systems. You can't even hear it once it is spun up. The aluminum casing is cool and keeps the drive cold. Vantec definitely has released a great product. I have to give it a 10/10. Now that the bar is raised, Vantec has competition only with itself.

Really?

Yes really, I've been wanting to setup some kind of review site of sorts. Just my opinions and thoughts of the latest and greatest out there. Now, those who ask me, can just read what I think about today's new comings. I'll do my best in updating daily.
