Google and April fools?

http://www.google.com/romance/press.html
I'm not sure if this is the real deal, but this site popped up today and is a little convincing. They even have a full fledged press release and tour of how it "google romance" works. Of course, it has everyone thinking about how much more individual data Google can acquire from us or how may other sites Google can come up with and leave in BETA forever (i.e. orkut, gMail, News, etc). They might as well just have bought e-harmony and made it free. You be the judge of the April fools joke, even if it's not one, and sign up. See you on the search for romance! ^_^ (and really, I'm not going to participate...well at least not just yet)

Alcohawk ABI Professional-grade BAC Breath Scanner

We all have that one friend that thinks they can drive drunk every single time they leave a party. Without knowing their lawful limitations, what can you do? Make sure that they blow you first with the Alcohawk series breath scanners. It features the only consumer scanners approaved by the FDA and the U.S. DOT. Blow into the mouthpiece, and the machine uses a semiconductor oxide sensor to test the blood-to-booze ratio in your breath (.08 percent to .10 percent is the legal limit in most states). Just give it five seconds and your friend will thank you for saving their career.

Now you too can play Doctor

Remember a year or two ago when Nintendo blitz the media with those tantalizing ads about “touching?” Playing doctor just lost its innocence w/ Trauma Center: Under the Knife exclusively for the Nintendo DS from Atlus. Take control of your operating room (lower touch screen portion of the DS) with your trusty stylus and experience all the drama that our friends on Grey’s Anatomy deals with every Sunday. Feel the pressure as the clock counts down and your patient’s health deteriorates. If you like Japanese Anime and always wanted to be a doctor but switched majors at the last second, relive your dream only on the DS!

iBooks’ color scheme re-released in Sony Style

Okay, maybe not all of the crazy colors but you get what we’re saying. We know that you always wanted to be fashionable and carry around the best looking laptop on the market today (i.e. apple powerbook / macbook) but continually resisted the temptation to become “switch” hitter. So with Sony’s foray into individual statements, the VAIO FJ Notebook prevents you from leaving the blue side. Combining a slim lightweight design and a 14.1” WXGA widescreen display packed w/ Sony’s XBRITE-ECO LCD technology, you can do your mobile computing in style. Choose from five vibrant colors and a wide array of options to fully express your personal geek.

can it really be?

WOW!!! I never thought that it would happen this soon...a Treo 700w for Sprint. Just when I was contemplating switching services to Verizon just for this phone. If you haven't gotten any type of Treo, this is the one to get! After dropping my 650 a couple of times, the P key just isn't the same. So, what can we expect with Palm Source in the upcomming months now that the hardware has betrayed its parent company?

Apple viiv (64 if you will)

It's going to be a great day tomorrow morning in San Francisco as Steve Jobs gets ready to released a slew of new Apple products. Right after Bill Gates and the rest of the Google gang had a goodtime at CES in Las Vegas, we have yet more technology to compete with. We will be seeing these two logos almost right next to each other for a couple of years to come and even longer if Intel can keep up with the demand from Apple to produce new and better things. I wonder how the "other" laptops will fair being that the only differences will be the Operating Systems. It's going to be an interesting year. I'm more excited for the rumored Plasma displays that are going to debut. You shouldn't be excited too much, but who knows that Jobs will pull out of his long lseeve black turtle neck tomorrow morning.

Shoot, while we are at it, I need someone to just start writing up things for me on this weblog. I thought about it in the shower today and there are quite a bit of tech blogs around, but sometimes, I just wanted the facts. What do you guys think? I mean, we'll create a whole new website and such, or not, but whatever...send some ideas in.

Got it!!!

my iPod shipped from China yesterday and got here today! I first loaded my iPod around 5:30PM with the first episode of "How I Met Your Mother," a new show on CBS. This was of course after hours of arduous transposing and decoding and encoding. It was well worth it and I have to say that I'm impressed. So far so good. I transferred about 2200 songs in about 20 minutes or so. I'm loving it! Thanks babe!

Better yet, after convincing my roommate that she needed an iPod and her many tries of saying no, she says that she'll actually have to buy one of these. We ended up watching like 5 minutes of the first episode and it was great to see the smile of belief!
