A Great Big World Dropping January 14, 2014

I had the television on right before I was going to sleep and the 2013 Victoria Secret Fashion Show was playing. At the same time, I was very impressed and loved the performance by Ian Axel of A Great Big World. I instantly Shazamed (iOS/Android/Windows) the song and found out that their album is set to land on January 14, 2014. I'm excited and of already downloaded both singles. There are two versions and both are great; Say Something and Say Something feat. Christina Aguilera. Check it out! You can also listen to a few different songs on their website.

The story of A Great Big World began in the crowded practice rooms at NYU. Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino were both studying music business while fostering dreams of writing and performing on Broadway and beyond. Ian quickly saw potential in partnering with Chad, and started lobbying him to work together on new songs. Chad smiles, "I kept blowing him off for awhile, and then one day I heard him singing nervously at the piano. I was like, 'your voice is amazing. Let's work on these songs. Let's be friends.’"

Ohio State Marching Band Moonwalks!

I was in marching band for only my first two years in high school, had best friends stay in and lead the band and even a few who went to college and are now teaching. I'll admit that it was some of the most memorable time of high school and still enjoy seeing a good show. Participating in field shows was always exciting but I don't even remember anything this awesome in artistic display. Two of the funniest songs from New Zealand's underground indie/rock band, Flight of the Conchords, are being made available for FREE. Made famous by their HBO show, get it today while you can off of CNET's Free Music MP3 Downloads website. There are actually two songs available: Ladies of the World and Business Time. Both are hilarious tunes to listen to while just relaxing and hanging out. Oh yeah, I also went to bed early last night and with little interruption didn't get out of bed till 1400. I have no idea what I was on (water and some awesome Indian food) but I passed out! I'm finally up and about, but now I'm all behind on my chores and errands. Maybe it's because of my new haircut and my subconscious thought that by getting more sleep that it would grow faster? I don't know, but just maybe huh?
