We strolled for a bit, bought camping essentials like firewood and wine, and grabbed a bite to eat. By the time the car pinged us that we were nearly charged, we were fed, watered, exercised, and relaxed. Depending on the type of traveler you are, this is the real beauty of an electric vehicle road trip:

My wife and I plus all three kids had a wonderful 36-Hour road trip from San Diego to San Francisco a few months back and it went exactly just like this; minus the camping essentials and camping in the car. (Everyone was asleep at one point in the drive though) Camping in the car will have to wait for when our littlest is older.

It was the first time since 2014 for myself and the first time as a family. The forecast was bleak showing temperatures in the high 8°F, cancelled flights days prior to our arrival and windy conditions but we were going to prevail. This would be Arden’s first flight and our first as a family of five and yes, we non-revved. It’s was beautiful! Going on a large trip with a bunch of friends just made the experience that much more memorable. Here’s a video of Day 1 with Days 2 through 4 in the works. I’m determined to go not only go back next year but to snowboard a lot more!
