The beginning, all over again!

So, after a day of Stage II (94% only because I miss marked two different questions) we embarked on learning all about the new forces that impact the aircraft due to the fact of having multiple engines primarily on a conventional aircraft (dual counter-rotating propellers.) We got assigned a massive amount of HW which I still have yet to finish up and memorize, but only because I was sitting in the back of N208CA (PA-44 Seminole) for the entire night just observing Justin, Tek and their instructor, Mike Anstis execute approaches and complete their lesson. It was a great experience in that I now know what is ahead of me. I look foward to it. This is Tek and Me in the back seat observing the pilot flying.

During our flight we got to see quite a bit of cloud to cloud lightning and even some air to ground as well. Being that it got dark rather fast, the lightning was so bright that it was messing me up quite a bit. I guess you have to get use to that.

Stage II is tomorrow which marks the beginning of multi-engine ground training. I am officially transitioning from single to multi. I can't wait. The beast that we are flying isn't what I thought it would be (DA-42) but the PA44 is good enough.

Tonight at Dave McGaffney's house, we had a dinner party and I'm here blogging away while people are drinking. It's good stuff. The tablet PC that I'm using is also pretty pimp. I must hand it to Toshiba in making them more affordable these days. I should have bought one myself.

I'll try to take a picture as soon as I can on my first flight in the Seminole. I'll also be in San Diego on the 4th of September for the weekend until I head over to FCI Training in Phoenix (Mesa), Arizona. Then I'll be able to come back to SD for a couple of more days. So, if anyone is in town then, give me a call.

So another round of good 'ol test taking. I studied quite a bit and still ended up missing 3 questions. I missed stupid questions due to the wording but none the less, I should have ended up with a 100%. I brought down the class average. I was last today. Not a good feeling. There was me with a 94%, 96%, 98%, and two 100%. I need to catch up get it in gear or something.

We have another graduation to attend to today at Main Campus. Should be fun meeting some execs. from various airlines!

Miami....

Miami was great but Adelle and I got over it really quick. It was just great hanging out again walking everywhere and just starring into each other for ever. Where did the time go eh?

So here it is! I'm actually posting from my Sony PSP. The madness has begun! I have to admit that this feature is better than any of today's games. I can't wait for Madden '06. I have to get it on PSP though because I don't have a PS2 here in Florida. More time to learn more on my own about football! Maybe I'll get to even know my team better. (and for those who don't know me, I like the Chargers.)

This is hell week...

I'm studying like crazy for my Instrument Oral Exam as well as the EOC (End of Course Checkride). Today's flight as well as last night's helped me out quite a bit in making sure that I was ready for the actual rate ride. So far so good and I have within PTS. I want to make things perfect but we'll see how it goes on Wednesday. I have a Pre-Oral tomorrow w/ our instructor and I hope that I am adequate enough to show her what I know. I hope also to learn new pointers before I go in on Wednesday.

CAPT is getting crazy with all the news happening around the facility. More or less, we are getting students left and right with a new July class of 6-8 students. I saw 4 today and I think the others are joining in tomorrow. I'm happy to see my school doing well. It means that we are on the right track. So, basically if you are interested in the program, I would apply now and start as soon as possible. Rumor has it that a waitlist is starting to form for various start dates!

Sidenote: This could be my last week in single engine training.
