Razer's Blade Is Tempting

In a lot of ways, the Razer Blade is almost like the MacBook Pro that Apple should have made: the latest powerful hardware, both USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C jack, an HDMI port, and a proper black color, rather than the slate gray Touch Bar models. And it supports VR, which no Apple machine, laptop or desktop, is certified for (although the Blade still can’t charge over USB-C, using a legacy barrel port to actually charge the battery).

If it wasn't for Windows, I would have happily bought a Razer Blade already. The specs obliterate Apple's latest and newest MacBook Pro w/ TouchBar. Granted the mess of ports and not being able to charge via USB-C on the Blade is silly and a disappointment but it's still an awesome machine.

Bottom line: I've been contemplating making the switch back, but I'd miss too much of the daily apps I use on my MacBook Air. #ecosystem

Thursday Back At It!

So no breakfast or coffee to start off, but after a little hiccup in the morning start, i'm off to school, Choice Juicery then over to the Genie Car Wash. After school pickup, Ben falls asleep in the car on the way to a lunch playdate so we head home and I cook meal #2 from The Green Chef. We also received two more boxes of meals (another from Green Chef and one from Hello Fresh) so no grocery shopping for a few days. Also, Norah makes her own decision given the three choices. #dadcantdecide

JFK to LGB

After a delayed departure out of Albuquerque followed by an even later hotel arrival, my schedule gets modified and I become illegal per FAR 117 rest requirements. We are at the airport hotels which are still, once again, too far from NYC so I find myself just heading back to the airport for the ride back home.

[117.25.(e)] No certificate holder may schedule and no flightcrew member may accept an assignment for any reserve or flight duty period unless the flightcrew member is given a rest period of at least 10 consecutive hours immediately before beginning the reserve or flight duty period measured from the time the flightcrew member is released from duty. The 10 hour rest period must provide the flightcrew member with a minimum of 8 uninterrupted hours of sleep opportunity.

Albuquerque New Mexico

We landed late last night. I chose to sleep in and catch up on sleep. I changed my mind about going to the Petroglyph National Park and headed instead to the Standard Diner followed by a movie for ONLY $5.15!!! Logan was pretty good but maybe a little underwhelming.

Coffee afterwards to wait out the rain and found an awesome shop called Espresso Fino!

Scandinavian Airlines Sells 2 Highly Coveted London Heathrow Slots to Unnamed Carrier

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has sold two pairs of London Heathrow slots to an undisclosed buyer, raising $75 million from the transaction.

Before the sale, SAS had the sixth largest Heathrow slot portfolio with 19 daily slot pairs. This has now been narrowed to 17 pairs, although under the deal SAS can continue to use the two pairs for up to three years.

Let's the rumors swirl. I'm crossing my fingers for this one. Emphasis are my own.

Day Sleep and Lunch with Matt

Arriving early AM, I uploaded the last two videos from the weekend then slept hard. Matty P came over and picked me up and we headed out to Tum Thai in Rockville Center ~ 15 minutes away. Since the city is just too difficult and time consuming to get to, this was a great find. Flew to Albuquerque and back in the hotel. Short day with a full day of rest tomorrow.

End of Lake Jennings Camping & Beginning of a Rare 4-Day Trip

Day 3 of 3 camping at Lake Jennings. A definitely better night's sleep for all. Missed out on some awesome fireside chat since I fell asleep putting Benji down. Snoozed a bit longer than intended but we all had an awesome pancake breakfast brought to you by one of the awesome camping moms. This trip couldn't have been as successful without the planning of one of the most organized camping moms!

I found out I got assigned a four day trip so after packing up, went home, had lunch, took an awesome shower then napped up until I had to go and drive to Long Beach. Took an extra hour because of traffic and of course the plane was late so I was on time!

Lake Jennings Part 1 of 3

Day 1 of 3 camping at Lake Jennings and I'm setting up the camp site by myself. Norah helped out quite a bit in setting up our Marmot Limelight 3P and unloading all the sleeping gear from the car and into the tent. Bought two Coleman Sleeping Bags 2-in-1 from Costco and they're pretty awesome. Also bought a Lightspeed Sleeping Pad too just in case. If you head to Costco right now, it's all camping gear and beach gear! I need to make another run!

Republicans Getting Bought

A look at eight of the country’s largest providers, as well as five of the trade groups that signed a letter in January in favor of overturning the rules, show that in the last six years, they gave a total of at least $1,726,288 to those 22 senators — an average of more than half a million dollars per election cycle.

Idiots. We should probably harvest their internet browsing history and share it with their constituents. Idiots. It's our political system and if this isn't a form of corruption, I don't know what is.
