CPT2

It's crazy how much you can actually get accomplished and learn in just one sitting. I definitely was once again not on top of things, but I got them down to a comfortable degree. I'm going to sleep just saying it over and over again and play the scenarios in my head non stop, but as I do that, I have a lot more to go over and learn too! It's definitely all piling up and I could sure use a day to just learn it all. I have CPTs until Saturday and then that night, I'm going to decompress a little bit but then hit it hard on Sunday and Monday. These sessions are going by rather quickly and its just unbelievable.

The Chargers just lost their defensive coordinator to the Dallas Cowboys. I know that Wade Phillips will be an awesome head coach. It's going to be interesting on who we start hiring to fill in all the shoes that are vacating the Chargers Coaching Staff. Supposedly they are also working on a new logo? More on that later if I ever find more out about it.

I worked out again today and was a little better on the diet. I didn't have the two pulled pork sandwiches which was a good thing. Instead, I finished a large can of pears (the ones with water and Splenda which has a lot less sugar and fat for ya), a slice of bread with peanut butter and little amount of jelly, a slice of bread with some turkey and hot sauce and called it lunch! I had a banana this morning with a peanut butter powerbar and just like 5 24oz bottles of water. If you have to guess what I had for dinner again, just click here. I'm going to see how long this can last. I really want some pho and I just might go get it tomorrow. We'll see who's up for it!

CPT1

Today marked the beginning of the end of my training. It's going to only get harder from what I've been hearing and I have to admit that I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked to be today. I was up to par, but did not exceed expectation nor did I feel 100% confident in my answers. I will try to be tomorrow, but I definitely will need some time to actually begin to digest and "learn" not memorize what I am doing. It's getting better though and I'm glad that it is all finally starting to all come together. I'm going to try to start running again and hopefully that will get my blood flowing better to my brain. CPT2 tomorrow from 0800-1500! Wish me luck!

We had a free lunch today from Flight Safety which was awesome pulled pork sandwiches. I had one and there were just too many not to indulge myself and have another, so I did it. I grabbed another. I felt content with one, but shoot, how can you deny free food. My flight partner did and I'm sure that he felt a little better than I did afterwards. Oh well, it was just so good!!! If there is anything that I will miss about the Southeast, it would be all the BBQ that you can get. Of course, the trade off in SoCal is the multitude of Mexican and Asian restaurants. Now weighing in on me in the dilemma of whether or not I should bid back to Atlanta because of Adelle's future college aspirations. Oh the decisions...anyone have any insight?

between the dems and the reps

It looks like the 2008 election is already upon us with the announcements of Rudy Giuliani and Barack Obama looking to seek the their respective party's nomination. Gearing up to be the one who can end up looking good in the camera in terms of public speaking and motivation, it's really going to be hard for a Republican to win. He's going to have to pull off something amazing. Both these candidates are already in the middle in terms of policies, but its going to be during their debates, I think, that will separate them. I'm kind of excited for this one. I don't even want to mention the "other" Democratic candidate. I still think that it's silly. Just my humble opinion though.

Giuliani's website is definitely designed by a simple group with little flare. It's neat and definitely says a lot about him and his works. You can find immediate links to what he has done in his life and current news. No videos, flash or who-ha or anything like that. Just like I've said before, neat and simple.

Barack's website is definitely a little bit cleaner and of a fresher style. It shows him off the bat appealing to an older crowd rather than the younger democrat telling us that he's in it for all the people. The picturesque interaction alone comes straight out of a book it seems like. It is appealing don't get me wrong, I'm just pointing out the obvious. His videos are definitely something to watch if you have always been interested and curious in him. They get your rield up and excited about his future as a candidate. He says to stay tuned for Feb. 10th has he will have another announcement regarding all this information then. Hey babe, he also went to Columbia for his undergrad.

I personally have a lot to learn about each of these guys. It's going to be such a close race. If you haven't read or listened to either of their books, you should give them a try. They almost seem to have similar bases and stories and are both written really well. Check them out.

Web 2.0 ... The Machine is Us/ing Us

This will enlighten you on what the web has become today. It only took about 10 years to become what it is today in terms of user enabled functionality and feature set. Who knows what is in store for the next 10 years! People say that the OS is dead just about and it will all depend on web interfaced software. You don't even need an office suite these days when you have a google account.

seriously now...

I am really having a hard time just coming up with titles that are worth it. I mean, it seems to me like its been getting old now but it was my own fault that I titled this blog. I could change it anytime, but the link would have to be redirected, etc, oh forget it. Set it and forget it!!! I'll go by that.

This past weekend was a great way of decompressing. I enjoyed kicking it and I'm still reliving it all. I just can't believe how much fun it was! Thanks guys!

I'm just coming back from studying for a couple of hours and I have to say that even though I was able to regurgitate my flows and checklists at the time, I still found myself fumbling too much when trying to recall them all at once. The panel has just become a blur to me. I'm mixing and matching what I'm suppose to so here and there and it is definitely frustrating. It's going to only get harder from here, but it just sucks that I'm not "there" yet. I should be before Friday, but it would have been awesome if I could have just gotten there sooner. I've never really felt what being over studied felt like, but near the end tonight, I just wasn't able to think anymore. Starring at the panel is all I did and I was just drawing up blanks or making stuff up. It's quite embarrassing when your flight partner just has it all down, but that's the motivation that I have. It's a good thing, but man, it sucks too. I'm going to study just a little bit more and then try to wake up early and get a head start on things. I need it really bad.

I might go eat some Pho tomorrow night which is exciting!

Adelle just got accepted to Columbia's Graduate Nursing Program!!! Congrats beeb!!! This now just put a little dent into the plans for LAX, but we'll see what happens in the next few months. Kind of stinks for me, but awesome for her!!! YEAH!!! I'm so happy and proud for her...

san diago...

Even though this weekend didn't turn out what Adelle and I was thinking it was going to be, we still enjoyed every single minute of our two days. I have to say that it was one of the best weekends in terms of "kicking" it old school where we just played video game amongst the 4-6 of us, hung out and eat at Niban Sushi, watch a play and just have an overall great time. We also had the awesome spicy pork chops from Sam Woo BBQ! Thanks for the great weekend guys! Jojo finally got his Wii today along with two Wiimotes and I got to hang out with Haas for just a little bit. It's going to be awesome the next time I come back!

I finally setup my Google Reader which, by the way, was recently updated and is so awesome and user friendly. It's all about the web applications these days.

Anyways, at Niban, I ordered two large cold, unfiltered sake bottles which were definitely put to good use. We all shared in good times. Thanks again! I've been so energetic these couple of days its awesome!

Now, I'm going to just have to get all serious and just put my head in the sand with a book and cockpit mockup. I'm up to bat and I need to hit a home run this month. It's going to get really tough! Let's see which flight I end up tomorrow. I'm hoping for a seat esp. with 6 First and 10 Coach available.
