Check it out!

welcome

I made it...at least temporarily.  So far, I'm learning quite a bit on writing styles but its a start.  I should have jumped on the bandwagon a couple of years back, but its going to be a fun ride with this new venture.  Thanks to my honey for some proof reading!  Oh, and for you guys who didn't know what I've been posting about on my blog, it was for a writer's position on phonenews.com

Google's Android SDK

logo_androidThe battle has official begun with the scheduled release of Google's Android Mobile OS SDK. Developers all over the world are being enticed by a $10 million competition, courtesy of Sergey Brin and company, to use the Android SDK and develop innovative software sets to be released in the near future.  Not only did they demo a seamless package, but the 3D graphics that are enabled on the platform easily render Quake as one of the many gaming options.  As impressive as the demo video looks, 2008 is gearing up to be a showcase of mobile phone operating systems. Nokia's Turn at the Red Curtain

nseries_teaserFollowing Apple's marketing lead with a timer and red curtain to boot, Nokia's teaser site is up and running without providing little hints as to what they have in store for Wednesday's unveiling. Speculation hints to the N82 but its only a couple of days away so just sit back and enjoy the countdown. You can also revisit Symbian Guru who, back in May, posted some images and specifications on what the N82 might have in store for its public and since then, its been really quiet...too quiet. While your there, you can browse through the N810 Tablet mini site. It looks like Nokia finally has a winner with that one but its going to be facing some stiff competition against the Asus Eee PC.

Colts at Chargers

Final Score: Final Score I can't take it anymore. The Chargers have just been causing me so much stress lately. From getting their asses wiped by some Vikings, to an offense that can't move the ball. At least our special teams is doing really well and with Antonio Cromartie intercepting Payton manning 3 times tonight and making some awesome plays last week, it looks as if our secondary is actually a force to be reckoned with. I just wish that we had the team from last year which includes the entire coaching staff. And we just won...by luck I tell ya. Payton being intercepted 6 times and Addai going for less than 3 yards per carry. We barely got away with this one and the rest of our schedule doesn't look that easy. Let's just hope that we get a lot better offensively. It's like all the big names from last year are gone. Where's LT, Merriman and Gates? Please guys...lets just play some good football.

Now I just need Matt Hassleback to do bad or at least not score more than 14.00 points in fantasy terms. I'm beating one of the top guys right now and tomorrow will determine who wins. I need to be third going into the playoffs in order to avoid playing one of the guys with Tom Brady.

A New Phone for Sprint

Sprint Motorola Q2Christmas has arrived early this year with the recent offering of the Motorola Q2 also known as the Motorola Q9m) available today on Sprint's Network.  Too bad the marketing ad is off to a bad start depicting the device using Palm OS Garnet while listing under specifications that it runs Windows Mobile 6.  So, if you were worried that you would have to use a 5 year old operating system, don't fret because Windows Mobile 6 on the Motorola Q2 can be yours for only $149.99

Heffalump

Well, because of me throwing out my back on the way to my aircraft on Thursday morning, I ended up calling in sick and went to the Urgent Care center to see what's going on.  I had acupuncture for the first time and I can't say that I was totally thrilled with it at all.  More or less, a proper nights rest with some drugs prescribed from the doctor helped me out.  I got some muscle relaxors, pain killers and anti-inflammatory meds.  So, since then, I'm back to about 60%, still not all good because I'm starting to feel the pains again since I'm laying off the meds, but its fun playing Call of Duty 4 as much as I have been.  I'm about to beat and I think that I'll do tonight.  I can't believe that Medal of Honor: Airborne is coming out in a couple of weeks.  What a waste of more money on First Person Shooters.  I don't think that I have any other types of games besides FPS.  I need Final Fantasy XIII to come out already.

I still haven't finished my website changes, but so far I'm feeling content with the way that it has been looking and moving.  I'm still wondering how to get Windows Live Writer to publish instantly onto my WordPress blog because it usually makes it so that it becomes a future posting (5 hours later).  Anyone have any ideas?

Entry for Writer's Position

Sprint's Future Not Clear at all

Sprints announcement at the beginning of the year to rollout Wi-Max technology and finance Clearwire's joint network venture is all coming to an end.  It was too good to be true after Gary Forsee, Sprint's CEO, resigned a couple weeks back as it was his baby and apparently a bastard at that.  Not having the confidence of the board alongside his idea of rolling out the first 4G network has brought down what many thought would be the wave of the future in wireless broadband computing.  Clearwire's future also seems to be more in the red after reporting a quarterly loss of $119.8 million (4 x its loss last year, same quarter).  So, if you've been waiting to buy a Wi-Max enabled phone on Sprint's network, you might as well hang on to your EV-DO rev.a for a while longer because who knows what the cellular phone companies are going to end up with as a replacement to day's 3G network.

How Convenient is the Title

I woke up early feeling rested and headed out noticing that frost was covering my entire car and that I was going to be pushing my duty in time.  I had to call scheduling twice today, one to check me in because since the shuttle was 5 minutes late, I was late 1 minute and then two is where the story of how my day went begins.  To sum it up, I had 6 needles poked into me which ended up costing me $80.00, I'm taking Ibuprofen 600mg, NorFlex and Hydrocodine which totaled $45.00 at Rite-Aid and now I'm trying to sit up straight and just concentrate on killing noobs on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  Minus the last bit, I've been in pain all day long.  Not only did I have to cancel my 4 day so that I could rest up at home, but I collapsed in front of a few fellow employees in operations hallway.  I was barely able to hang onto my luggage bag where another pilot helped me up.  I wasn't really embarrassed at all, but it just sucks that my back spasmed like a piece of cold bacon on a hot frying pan.  This left me a little handicap for the rest of the day (I still am).  I've been walking like an old China man, hunched over, and can barely get around without anyone helping me.

I ended up waiting for a Chief Pilot to show up to work where I had him call scheduling because they wanted verification.  I was sweating so bad that the Chief Pilot knew that I wasn't joking.  He gave scheduling confirmation that my pain was real and that was it.  It still hurts and it doesn't seem like the meds are helping that much.  I'm sure they are in some way, but the pain is definitely still there.  Matty P and Manoj picked me up at the airport and Manoj basically stuck with me the entire day throughout the doctor ordeal, grabbing the Rx, and going to Everybody's for some pizza sandwiches.  Good stuff!

I made some changes in the way that my two sidebars are organized and I've also re-inserted my Google Reader's Shard items.  I still have yet to include a link to my schedule, but I will soon if not in the 10 minutes.  Be sure to check it out!

Testing Windows Live Writer 1.0 (just newly out of beta)

Well, this is the first time I'm going to try to use an offline blog writer and I happen to choose the new Windows Live Writer.  I'm doing this because the past experience that I have had with trying to cut and paste text from Microsoft Word 2007 onto an HTML text area produces unknown XHTML characters and I just felt that I could actively write while offline like for instance when I'm commuting back and forth from San Diego to Atlanta and back.  Let's just see how this works out.  (it didn't with blogger)
